Tiger fishing at Ngombe Lodge on the Zambezi

Our trip in October 2022 with a great group of fishermen was epic! Ngombe Lodge is on the Zambezi River in Zambia - the land of giant tigerfish.

Although the fishing was tough at times, almost every guest hooked into a monster at least once!  Derek managed to hook and land a 19lb monster that put up a real fight. As the fish was netted, the fly dropped out of its mouth - he got lucky!

However, we lost fish bigger than that on the trip. The lodge record stands at 24lbs for the season, so we will definitely be taking guests back to Ngombe this year to try land a 20lb+ trophy.
